An opportunity has become available for a Health, Safety & Environment Manager - Projects & Services - Pacific Zone who will take a leadership role on all HS&E matters as they relate to our projects and services business. The successful candidate will provide a centralised support function for Australia and New Zealand (Pacific Zone) ensuring adequate HS&E input, the use of professional HS&E tools, principles and objectives and compliance with company and legislative HS&E processes.

Duties include
Understand each of the state based approaches to HS&E and formulate and implement a consolidated Pacific Zone function
Standardisation and streamlining of processes and procedures
Coaching and development of the various state based HS&E experts
Consultation and collaboration with each of the business unit leaders ensuring incorporation of their feedback into the HS&E strategy for projects and services
Keep up to date with the latest industry and legislative developments in HS&E

Qualifications

We are looking for the following skills, attributes and experience:
Leadership - proven strong influencing and persuading skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
Degree/diploma in occupational health and safety/ construction/ engineering.
Health, safety and environment considerations in a projects and services environment preferred.
Organisational change - track record of implementing process and functional improvement and managing culture change.
Prior experience in a large matrix corporate structure.
