Job Description
Lead TWDC ANZ’s cross business franchise and partnership strategies in line with the overall vision for the Company. The role will lead a team of Franchise, Creative and Partnerships professionals to develop and execute strategically against objectives.

As a Franchise & Partnerships Director you will be responsible for:

Strategy

Leadership of franchise strategy, ensure alignment across the business to strategic goals and then drive the execution
Develop a cross business partnership strategy


Stewardship of Franchises
Develop and champion an insight-led approach to strategic planning
Set up appropriate measures of success and own marketing effectiveness
Drive Owned and Earned media first approach
Develop creative strategy and drive innovation


Partnerships & Relationships



Identify key external partners in line with strategy and develop and manage strong relationships that deliver tangible value to the Company
Collaborate proactively internally in order to drive value from an integrated approach to Franchise, Partnerships and Creative
Facilitate collaboration of team members with other parts of the business on projects and activity
Build mutually beneficial partnerships with third parties


Financial

Develop and manage relevant budgets associated to Franchises. Work with colleagues across the business to ensure spend is always optimised.
Develop and drive financial KPI’s for franchises, ensure delivery against these through direct and matrixed teams
Manage budgets effectively to deliver maximum value to TWDC, look to leverage Owned & Earned media first
Leadership

Drive innovation and creative excellence within the function, leading change efforts and creating new ways of working to continuously improve the teams support to, and impact on, the business.
Lead the Franchise, Partnerships and Creative teams, setting a strategy and interpreting that into objectives in order to ensure high performance delivery.
Equip team to respond positively to change.
Develop and share leadership vision for teams under direct control and ensure that they are given the tools and skills necessary to enable to deliver their objectives as effectively as possible.
Ensure that the team receives all the support necessary (communication, systems, training and management) to enable them to perform in their roles.
Ensure that all employees are managed consistently and appropriately
Ensure that all HR processes are applied in a fair and consistent manner across the team in accordance with the organisation’s values


Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

15+ yrs. experience in Management and Leadership in Marketing ideally within Media and Entertainment
Marketing / Business tertiary degree qualification.
Commercial leadership experience, able to demonstrate P&L ownership and a track record of growing franchises.
Experienced in leading franchises across a matrixed business and in driving campaign delivery across a range of business areas. Significant experience in setting functional strategic direction and creating a long-term vision for the integrated business
Experience of managing significant budgets
Demonstrated ability to work with senior management, and to collaborate and influence key senior stakeholders
Ability to develop strong external partnerships, and to understand and deliver to their business goals along with those of Disney
Digitally savvy with a focus on innovation and experiential content activation
Flexible and adaptable in approach
Ability to work in a constantly evolving workplace, and thrive in a start-up environment within an established brand
Natural collaborator who seeks win-win solutions for various stakeholders, and who has the ability to balance that with driving a companywide or franchise agenda
Excellent understanding of the competitor and industry environment
Able to understand the total P&L for the business area and apply broad commercial thinking in decision-making
Experience of contributing to the leadership of the business beyond functional responsibility
A creative and innovative approach
Strong leadership qualities with demonstrable experience in managing a high performing team
